Austrian artist Gustav Klimt painted the original work in the early 1900s as part of his ‘Golden Period’, drawing inspiration from mosaics of the Byzantine era. This piece was created using oils, gold leaf, platinum, and silver, and is currently being kept at the Belvedere Museum in Vienna.
